You will send your desired song to the instructor prior to your first lesson so your instructor can begin choreographing your dance. During your first lesson, the instructor will ask you for more information such as floor size, seating arrangement, what you are comfortable with, etc. to help better plan the routine. Throughout the course of your remaining lessons you will learn your routine and alter it

There is no right or wrong. Choose YOUR song. This is your wedding dance so choose a song that you love! If you can’t decide, your instructor can help you pick a song that will make your wedding dance memorable.

At Ballroom Empire we teach many dance styles: waltz, tango, rumba, bachata, etc. We will choreograph any wedding dance you need: first wedding dance, father-daughter, mother-son, bridesmaid, and groomsmen dances.

The amount of lessons required is based on how quickly you are able to pick up the moves and how advanced you want your choreography to be. We recommend taking at least five lessons for you to feel comfortable on the dancefloor!

A good baseline is scheduling your first wedding dance lesson around 2 months before your wedding date. This may vary depending on the amount of lessons required for your routine and your schedule. We recommend giving yourself enough time to learn the moves, schedule extra lessons if need be, and still be close enough to your wedding date to remember your routine! (If your wedding date is sooner than the 2 month timespan, we can definitely schedule your lessons to fit your timeframe!)
